Project Management
Outlined below is the project management process for this advanced project, including the proposal, initial visual outputs, participant consent forms, and Gantt chart. These documents show how the project was planned, organised, and developed over time, from early ideas through to the final outcome. Please use the side arrows to scroll through the materials
Final Proposal
This is the proposal I submitted at the start of the year, outlining my project, research question, and initial ideas. It also includes the methodology I planned to use, along with key theories that informed and inspired the direction of the project from the beginning.
Indicative Creative output
Alongside the proposal, I shared an indicative creative output as my first visual showcase of the project. I created a short immersive video that uses sound, including a heartbeat, to reflect the overwhelming pressure and intensity often built through social media. This helped to communicate the emotional direction of the project early on, before developing it further.
ETHICS FORM & sumbission
I submitted my original ethics form on the 25th February 2026.
After presenting my proposal and discussing it with my supervisor, I received ongoing feedback which helped me refine the project.
Most of the feedback focused on clarifying where the interviews would take place and ensuring the process was clearly defined and appropriate.
Project Managment Gant Chart
Here I created a Gantt chart to plan out my project, including key dates for research, development, assignments, and submissions. It helped me stay organised and keep track of what I needed to do at each stage. I updated it throughout the project, especially when ethical approval dates changed, which meant I had to adjust my timeline. This shows how my planning developed over time and how I adapted as the project progressed.
Consent Form
Final Ethics Approval
In mid-April, my project was approved by the ethics team after making a few changes. This version includes the feedback I got from both my supervisor and the ethics team, especially around making the methodology and interview process clearer.
